I need to build a master/detail application. Some of my users are subscribers to a print publication, and I'd like to give them a "self service" subscription management page. At the master level, they'd need to be able to maintain information about themselves, i.e. names and addresses of family members who have subscriptions, etc. One detail level from that would be seasonal variations, i.e. deliver the paper to my summer address from June through August (so addresses would be effective-dated). Another detail off the master would be the subscriptions themselves, i.e category (regular, senior, student: each with different prices), term (1 year, 2 year, 9-month, quarterly). The subscription would be keyed to one of the family members, to pick up the appropriate address each week. The subscriptions would also need payment processing (paypal, authorizenet), one-time or recurring, based on price and term.

Would dynamic forms have the capabilities to build such an application?

Hi Worth,

Yes, Dynamic Forms will be able to handle these with requirements .   You can have a multi-page form where you can have fields linked to core properties and then you can pass/retrieve values to querystring, session, or cookie variables.  Here are a couple of demos for you to review:

Multi-page Forms

Retrieving Data from Dynamic Forms

Advanced Work Flow Functionality

DF also works great with subscriptions on PayPal.  Here are some related links:

Demo 16:  Subscriptions on PayPal

Demo 17:  Turning PayPal gateway on and off (to accomodate free subscriptions.

That would be a lot to go over.  Please let us know if you have questions.

Thanks,
Candace
